Gwen Franklin is the founder and CEO of B. Lifted Up! Inc. -- established in 1996 -- whose mission is: empowerment through insight, education & training. Born of the need for trustworthy, efficient professionals to service the financial concerns of those in niche industries, her innervision has driven the company’s grassroots growth and commitment to excellence.

Gwen began her career via radio at  Howard University’s WHUR-FM, while earning her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communications.  From radio to the music industry was a natural segue for her.  She worked in promotion/marketing/sales at A&M, Capitol, Mercury, and RCA Records, where her responsibilities included the development and implementation of multi-million dollar campaigns for recording artists who have become woven into the fabric of our lives. She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baruch College/City University of New York; and most recently a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership Administration (MATLA) from New York Theological Seminary.

 As an educator, Gwen served as an adjunct professor of Marketing & Merchandising at New York University (Steinhardt); and at Ramapo College (New Jersey) where she taught Marketing & Entrepreneurial Business Environment, and was awarded the Schomberg Fellowship.  She is a retired public school administrator, having worked under the New Jersey Department of Education standard certification of School Business Administrator.

 Returning to her roots, Gwen’s latest venture is “B. Lifted Up! Radio”-Your Guide To Living An Abundant Life, a weekly radio program in collaboration with the Mocha Podcasts Networks that blends faith & finance with contextual contemporary conversation. The program airs on ‘HUR Voices-Sirius XM/Channel 141 with podcasts on all platforms & on the B. Lifted Up Radio YouTube channel.  Additionally, Gwen is a contributing author of two literary offerings: “Rhythms of Rest” (Our Daily Bread, 2021) and “Soul Sisters” (TarcherPerigee/Penguin, 2016), both authored by Suzan Johnson Cook. 

Gwen resides in Northern New Jersey.
